Deputy Commissioner Office is Located at Khomer Gilgit. Deputy Commissioner is working as District Magistrate under Cr.P.C. overseeing law and order and security of the district. Under the Land Acquisition Act 1894, the Deputy Commissioner is also acting as Collector of Land Gilgit. Deputy Commissioner authorizes and regulates various activities and functions. Moreover, the Deputy Commissioner is the Registrar of Firms, Registrar of Trade Unions, Issuing authority of International Driving Permit, Controller Civil Defence, Chairman District Disaster Management Athourity.
